Celebrity Football Anarchy…
…reigns in the launch film for The Football Association’s Respect programme from Hotspur and Argyle’s sister company Contentment Worldwide . Featuring the likes of Ben Shephard, Les Ferdinand, Gethin Jones, top referee Howard Webb, England manager Fabio Capello and Barry from Eastenders, the 90-second film tells the story of a pro-celebrity football match which descends into chaos because there is no referee. The Theo Delaney-directed film spread like wildfire within hours of its press launch at the Mayfair Hotel where the top brass from all the major football bodies gave the programme their wholehearted endorsement. At the time of writing it sits proudly on the front page of the BBC’s football site. More celeb-soaked Respect films from Contentment follow in the autumn.

Baftas for Beasant and Sir Les. And a nod to Fabio in the foreign language category.
